On The Side: Vincent O’Reilly & Ian Holms
In “On the Side” Disruptive Films tell us the story of Ian Holms, a married man who cheats on his wife with Vincent O’Reilly, a gay man who is in love with Ian. Marcus Cook (Ian Holms) has been married for several years, but his marriage is the result of a lot of pressure from his parents, and it is not a marriage of choice, but something is done out of necessity.
Marcus just wanted to not disappoint his parents by telling them that he likes men, while women have never excited him. His wife is both kind and devoted, but she cannot give him what a man gives him. Marcus has discovered this man and feels more than wonderful every time he meets him.
That man’s name is Andy Stiller, played by Vincent O’Reilly. Andy has been working in Marcus’s office for two years and from his first meeting with his boss, he is in love with him. Andy hopes that one day Marcus will put aside prejudice and admit to everyone that he is gay, and then they will be together forever.
When Marcus tells Andy he has important news and takes him away for a romantic weekend, Andy is hopeful that he’s about to get everything he’s ever wanted. But is the news really good, or will Marcus tell Andy something no man in love wants to hear?!
